Delete your HI Traffic Alerts account

Before you begin

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Uninstalling HI Traffic Alerts does not delete your account. You may create a new account later, but deleted settings and saved places cannot be restored.

Delete inside the app

To delete your account while you can sign in:

  1. Open HI Traffic Alerts and sign in.
  2. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation.
  3. Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete my account.
  4. Review the warning and tap Continue.
  5. Tap Delete permanently to confirm.

When deletion succeeds, your account and associated server-stored app data are removed immediately, background monitoring stops, you are signed out, and the app returns to the sign-in screen.

Request deletion without app access

If you uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or otherwise cannot use the in-app option, email us from the address associated with your HI Traffic Alerts account whenever possible. State that you want the account and its associated data permanently deleted. You do not need to provide a reason.

Request account deletion

If the button does not open your email app, send your request to support@kilokaisolutions.com with the subject HI Traffic Alerts account deletion request.

To protect your account, we will send verification instructions to the account email address. We begin deletion after the request is verified. If you no longer have access to that address, explain that in your message; we may request limited information needed to confirm account ownership.

Never send your password, one-time code, payment information, saved addresses, or precise location. Kilo Kai Solutions will never ask for your password.

Request timing

In-app deletion: completed immediately after successful confirmation.

Email request: we review and acknowledge the request within five business days. After account ownership is verified, we complete deletion as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 30 days. We send a confirmation when deletion is complete.

Data we delete

  • Account data: the login and authentication identity, account email, internal user identifier, active sessions, and account-linked acceptance and request-control records.
  • Location data: the latest stored current-location coordinates and timestamp. HI Traffic Alerts does not keep a continuous location-history table.
  • Saved places: saved Home, Work, Other, and commute-search addresses and coordinates.
  • Preferences: alert radius and impact level, notification and island-wide alert settings, map choice, commute settings, and current-location preferences.
  • Push-notification data: the push-notification token associated with the account.

Public traffic incidents and road-closure records are shared source information, not customer account data, so they are not removed when an account is deleted.

Limited records and retention

When deletion is completed, the account data listed above is removed from the active application database. The following limited records may remain temporarily:

  • Security and operational logs: authentication events and limited request metadata may remain available to us for up to 24 hours under our current backend hosting plan, then are no longer available to us. We do not use them to restore a deleted account.
  • Managed database backups: our current production database has no managed daily backups or point-in-time recovery enabled, so deleted account data is not retained in a managed recovery copy.
  • Deletion-request correspondence: the request, verification, and completion correspondence may be kept for 30 days after deletion is completed to document and resolve the request, then deleted.
  • Security or legal exception: if a record is required for an active fraud or security investigation, dispute, court order, or other legal obligation, we keep only the minimum information necessary until that matter is resolved or the legally required period expires, then delete it.

Retained records are not used to reactivate an account or restore deleted app data. These periods reflect the service configuration reviewed on August 23, 2026 and will be updated if that configuration changes.
